MANAGED SERVICES

Your servers, managed like we own them.

Full Linux and Windows server management with production-grade monitoring as standard. Patching, backups, performance, capacity, alerting — handled end to end. You hear from us before things break, not after.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Everything your server needs to keep running.

Monitoring & alerting

CPU, memory, disk, network, process health, service availability, cert expiry, backup job status. Alerts go directly to the on-call engineer.

Patching & updates

OS security patches applied on a tested schedule. Software updates reviewed for breaking changes before deployment to production.

Backups & restores

Automated daily backups with periodic restore verification. We test that backups actually work — most backup problems are discovered during a restore, not before.

Incident response

On-call coverage for production incidents. Engineer responds directly — not a ticket queue or a helpdesk that escalates to a specialist who escalates to another.

Performance & capacity

Trend analysis on resource utilisation. Capacity expansions planned before they become emergencies. Performance bottlenecks diagnosed and resolved.

Security hardening

Firewall rules reviewed, unnecessary services disabled, fail2ban and brute-force protection configured, audit logging active. Baseline hardening on every server we manage.

BREAK-FIX

Reactive support

  • You notice something wrong
  • You raise a ticket or call
  • Engineer starts diagnosing
  • Root cause found, fix applied
  • Business was affected for hours
MANAGED SERVICES

Proactive management

  • Monitoring detects the signal
  • Engineer alerted before impact
  • Problem resolved proactively
  • You get a brief summary
  • Business was never affected
AUSTRALIAN-ONLY

No offshore handoffs. No tier-1 filters.

When you contact us, you're talking to the engineer who actually manages your servers — not a helpdesk that reads from scripts and escalates to someone who escalates to someone else. All our engineers are Australian. All hosting is in Australian data centres. For clients with data sovereignty requirements, this matters.

Frequently asked questions

What's included in managed services?
Proactive monitoring with alerting, OS and software patching, automated backups with verified restores, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident response. Everything needed to keep a production server running reliably — not just reacting when it breaks.
Linux, Windows, or both?
Both. We manage Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL/AlmaLinux) and Windows Server environments. Most clients run a mix — Linux for web and mail workloads, Windows for Active Directory and line-of-business applications. We manage the full estate from a single engagement.
What does production-grade monitoring actually mean?
Not just 'is the server up'. We monitor CPU, memory, disk I/O, network throughput, process health, service availability, certificate expiry, backup job completion, and custom application metrics where relevant. Alerts go directly to us — the engineer on-call, not a tier-1 helpdesk.
How do you handle incidents and after-hours issues?
We operate on-call coverage for managed clients. When a production alert fires, an engineer responds — not a ticket queue. For critical incidents (service down, data integrity risk), response is immediate. For non-critical alerts (disk at 80%, cert expiring in 30 days), we triage and resolve during business hours unless the client prefers otherwise.
How is this different from break-fix IT support?
Break-fix is reactive — something breaks, you call us, we fix it. Managed services is proactive — we're watching before things break, patching before vulnerabilities are exploited, and expanding capacity before disks fill. The cost of a prevented outage is always less than the cost of the outage itself.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. We work on monthly engagements with no lock-in. The relationship continues as long as we're delivering value. Most clients stay because the alternative — finding another specialist who knows their environment as well — is the harder path.
